Victoria is a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), a Clinical Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP), a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), a Certified Coding Specialist Physician-Based (CCS-P), and an AHIMA-Approved ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer with over 27 years of experience in the healthcare field.

In her professional role, Victoria is the Founder of a coding, auditing, and CDI company called Integrity Coding Solutions. Prior to starting her company, she was the Regional Director of Coding Audit and Education for a California-based integrated healthcare delivery system covering 21 facilities with 160+ coders and CDI staff. She specialized in providing the following: initial and ongoing coding and CDI education, specialty-specific training, department presentations, and one-on-one feedback to coding, CDI staff, physicians, and local, regional, and national leadership. Victoria is also an Adjunct Professor in coding at Bakersfield College and Cosumnes River College in Sacramento, California.

In her volunteer role, Victoria serves as Component State Association (CSA) HIM Awareness Coordinator for California Health Information Association (CHIA), President-Elect for Sacramento Valley Health Information Association (SVHIA), and served as AHIMA’s Alternate Delegate for California Health Information Association (CHIA) from 2016-2017.

Victoria is passionate about staying involved and working collaboratively with stakeholders in promoting high standards and integrity of HIM coding practice. She believes in the end that “quality data with integrity will promote and help achieve the best healthcare for all patients”.
